Re: Guest account
That is a Windows issue, not the installer. Windows locks down the guest account to prevent guests from being able to install anything. You will need to talk to your system administrator.

Re: Windows 8
Glad you got it figured out, but still, it should not crash just because you forgot something. It just shouldn't let you go down. The DOS version works like it should.

Re: Windows 8
This is something that jafa would have to look into. Unfortunately, he has not been around much lately. If he sees this, he will probably respond. If he does not, there is the DOSBox installer, linked to above that you can use.

Re: This might sound stupid but...
You could just use the DOSBox installer to play the game with the interlacing.

Re: installer worked well but
The author of the installers has not been active here in quite some time. If has looked at it, he has not updated anything here.

Re: Game crashes after starting new game
This forum is for the Squirt the Cat installer. As far as I know, GOG does not use it for their distribution. This is not the place to ask for help for GOG games. I don't know how GOG sent you the file, but if it was zipped, you need to unpack it into the base of the game's folder. Using one from an...

Re: Lighthouse patching issue
The game ships with two interpreters, Windows and DOS. If you got that message, you were trying to launch the Windows EXE in DOSBox. The game has to be installed in for it to work. For the DOS version it has to be installed in DOSBox, first. Using my installer does this automatically. You would have...

Re: Lighthouse patching issue
I don't have the LHPAT there since it wan not on the Sierra FTP when I grabbed all of the patches. The LITEPT2A is all you need, which is included in both the installer from here as well as my installer. I am not sure what all modifications that jafa did with his installer, but his patching often ma...

Re: Lighthouse patching issue
Where did you download that patch? The LHPAT patch was superseded by later patches. The LITEPT2A Patch includes all previous patches. LITEPT2A is supposed to be included in jafa's installer.

Re: The cabinet file 'disk1.cab' required...
I am not sure what might be going on. As I said, there is no cab on the game CDs. I do not have jafa's source, so I can only speculate on what he patched and how he set up his installer. The referenced cab may be a container embedded in the msi to hold the patched files. This would make sense as msi...
