Screen gray/squished in 32-bit, cursor a black square in 16

Post by desiderio59 »

Hi, I'm on Windows Vista running Shivers 2 with the installer on this site. I have NVidia GeForce Go 7200 and updated the driver. When I run the game in 32-bit mode it looks like the attached pic, the screen is gray and squished although the cursor is fine. When I change my computer to 16-bit, it fixes the screen but the cursor becomes a messy black box.

I've messed around with compatibilities a little but no success. Has anyone got a suggestion?

Was it OK with your old driver?

WELL what I meant was I checked for software updates for my driver, and there were none. So I didn't actually update anything...

This is probably something that jafa would need address, since I don't know exactly what changes he made to this game. Have you tried updating your DirectX 9?

I'm not sure what else to suggest. You may need to wait to see if jafa shows up to answer. I wish this were an SCI game so I could try to hack in an SCI DOS interpreter to use in DOSBox, but it is not a true SCI game.
