I have only done a little hex editing, so it is a little beyond me, too. Concatenating the resources is easy, but getting the game to recognize it is where editing comes in. UniSCI does both, but as I said earlier, it does not work with Lighthouse or RAMA, which is why I have not done a RAMA installer, yet. The only advantage that one of my installers for RAMA would have over the StC installer is that disc swapping could be done with images instead of the physical discs and that the game could be played in either full screen or a window.

Ok i did what you suggested and used dosbox imgmount and edited RESOURCE.CFG to get RAMA working. Is there any way to remove the interlacing on the videos?

Now i'm going to try BiA. Only if it has a dos version too i guess.

The interlacing of the movies used in the SCI games is added by script in many (if not all) of the games to make it playable on older machines of the time. Phantasmagoria allowed you to turn it on or off and store it in the preferences file, while Phantasmagoria 2 did not. Endroz created a script level patch to turn the interlacing off for GK2. I believe that jafa uses DirectX to fill in the missing scan lines for RAMA and Phantasmagoria 2, rather than simply turning off the interlacing. It has been long enough since I've looked at RAMA, but look in the game settings to see if you can change it there.

Nope or at least, it is not visible-

What was the command line to turn off aliasing in Phantasmagoria?
interlacing=0
or what?

It wasn't a command line option, you did through the game, which stored it in a preferences file.

i'd just like to write the variable manually on the resource.cfg file.

Collector, i just noticed that your QFG4 dosbox installer doesn't copy the INSTALL.EXE file from the CD. Why is that? Without it you can't configure the game from within dosbox easily. I just copied to the install dir and it seemed ok.

It is because of a version difference. The installer was based on a version that had a sightly different layout and file names. I am going through and redoing the installers in part to add support for more versions. Thanks for pointing this out to me. BTW, any other comments or questions about my installers should probably be done on the SHP forums so as to not clutter up jafa's board with posts that are not about his installers.

Did you try to resource edit BiA? If you're following my thread in the scummvm forums, you'll find that it is also a SCI game.

No need to try. It doesn't work.
