No NPC Animations?

I just used Jafa's wonderful windows installer to allow my PC to run Shivers 2(Worked like a charm!) Everything looks great but when i walk into the hotel at the beginning of the game, the desk clerk has no animations like i remembered. . . any insights or solutions?

It seems to be like that when you have a 64-bit OS running. For some reason, this game will install without a hitch on the 32-bit version of Win7 for my laptop. I needed that workaround program for the 64-bit version on the desktop. Sadly, I don't think they have what they need for the VMD files.
